Small Fingers Beware

Originally connected to some decorative lighting, small fingers would be able to bridge live parts pulling out this American-style plug from its cheap un-fused Chinese adaptor. It was replaced with a standard UK 13A Plug.

PAT Fail – Live Melt

Found during Portable Appliance Testing, this extension lead had a faulty fan heater plugged into it. Over time, the heat generated by the plug caused the extension lead to degrade. The item was removed from service.
